Bhatti hands over recruitment letters to evacuees of YTPC and TG Genco recruits

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday said that allocating Rs 9,000 crore for self-help schemes in the current Budget and handing over employment letters to 59,000 unemployed youths, besides laying the foundation for lakhs of jobs through the IT sector and setting up the Future City, were bold decisions of the Indiramma government in the state.

Hyderabad:Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday said that allocating Rs 9,000 crore for self-help schemes in the current Budget and handing over employment letters to 59,000 unemployed youths, besides laying the foundation for lakhs of jobs through the IT sector and setting up the Future City, were bold decisions of the Indiramma government in the state.

Handing over employment letters to the evacuees of Yadadri Thermal Power Station at Veerlapalem in Damarcherla mandal of Nalgonda district, Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress government is working with commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of unemployed youths who played a key role in realising the dream of a separate state.

Stating that he had never seen, in his political life, an allocation of `9,000 crore for self-help schemes in the state in a single financial year, Bhatti said that the government had announced a clear action plan and a calendar to issue applications and select lakhs of beneficiaries under Rajiv Yuva Vikasam.

He also recalled that former Congress chief minister Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy had laid the foundation for an IT park in the open hilly lands in those days in undivided AP, which later came to be known as Cyber Towers, and helped Hyderabad emerge as a global city.

Bhatti handed over job letters for positions such as junior assistants, junior plant attendants, office subordinates, and housekeepers to the evacuees of YTPS, as well as to the divisional accounts officers recruited by TGPSC for TG Genco’s finance department.

Stating that the proposed Future City, Skill University, and Sports University will be game changers in improving infrastructure in the state capital, Vikramarka reminded that globally renowned companies have come forward to invest `84,000 crore during Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent visit to Davos. He urged people to be cautious of those who are bent on creating hurdles for the progress of the state and encouraged them to support efforts to make the state and city competitive with global cities.

“The earlier rulers made big promises to provide jobs to the evacuees of YTPS. Many unemployed youths have surpassed the age limit for recruitment. However, after coming to power, the Congress government conducted a referendum to elicit public opinion for obtaining environmental clearance for the projects and also undertook recruitment,” Bhatti said.
