Bhatti: Adilabad Growth Top Priority for Govt

Ministers launch infra, health, and job initiatives to transform Adilabad region

Dandepalli (Mancherial): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday announced that the state government will soon begin constructing a barrage on the Pranahita River at Thummidihatti to irrigate lakhs of acres in the former Adilabad district. He credited the Congress with originally planning the barrage and criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting Adilabad’s development.

Addressing a public meeting in Dandepalli, after laying the foundation stone for a solar power plant at Andugula village, new community health centres in Luxettipet, and an Industrial, IT and Auto Nagar at Vempalli in Hazipur mandal, Bhatti said the current administration is prioritising integrated infrastructure and welfare projects across Adilabad.

He highlighted that the government had credited Rs 9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to 70 lakh farmers’ bank accounts in just nine days, demonstrating its commitment to agricultural welfare. He also outlined various women’s empowerment and self-help group initiatives underway in the state.

IT minister D. Sridhar Babu pledged full support for industrial development in Adilabad to create jobs for local youth, and health minister Damodhar Raja Narasimha noted that a second super-speciality hospital, after Hyderabad’s, will soon open in Mancherial. He emphasised the government’s dedication to democratic values, self-respect and freedom of speech, and reaffirmed its plan to implement 42 per cent BC reservations as part of its social-justice agenda under the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” program.

Tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao announced a Rs 2 crore Kala Bhavan project in Mancherial town and promised to develop new tourist sites in the district. Mancherial MLA Kokkirala Premsagar Rao said he is working, with the support of the Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, to make his constituency a model one. He urged allocation of funds for four lift-irrigation projects and new power substations to meet local needs.
