Bhadradri Teen Found With Girl in Banjara Hills, Sent to Juvenile Home
A 16-year-old was traced in Banjara Hills with his minor girlfriend after his parents filed a missing persons case

Hyderabad: A 16-year-old boy from Bhadradri Kothagudem district has been shifted to a juvenile home after travelling to Hyderabad to usher in the New Year with his minor girlfriend.
The incident came to light on Sunday when his parents, who had lodged a missing complaint in Bhadradri, traced him to NBT Nagar in Banjara Hills. The episode has left both families and the police in shock.
According to Banjara Hills police, the boy and girl, both aged 16, hail from a village near Palwancha. Their reported relationship began when they were classmates. Eight months ago, after their families discovered the affair, they reprimanded the teenagers and imposed strict conditions barring them from meeting until they attained legal age.
In an attempt to separate the duo, the girl was sent to Hyderabad, where she stayed in a rented room at NBT Nagar, Road No. 12, while undergoing tailoring training. The boy remained in Palwancha to pursue his first-year Intermediate studies.
However, on December 31, the boy reached the girl’s residence in Hyderabad to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Panic gripped his family when he went missing that evening. Suspecting his whereabouts, they rushed to Hyderabad and found him with the girl at her room in NBT Nagar.
Following a complaint lodged by the girl’s parents at Banjara Hills police station, officials took custody of both minors. “As the boy is a minor, he has been shifted to a juvenile home. The girl has been counselled by the BHAROSA teams and handed over to her parents. The case is being probed as per law,” a police official said.
The police are investigating further.
