Bhadradri-Kothagudem Govt hospitals Bags Five Kayakalp Awards, One State level Eco-Friendly Award

NALGONDA: The Government hospitals in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district created a record by getting all the five Kayakalp awards -2025-26 selected from Telangana by Union Ministry of Health and Family welfare and one eco-friendly award.
The Union Health Ministry was extending the Kayakalp award to the government hospitals, which showed exemplary performance in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and infection control as an extension of Swachha Bharath Mission.
Community Health Center of Palvacha was selected for state level eco-friendly award, area hospitals of Bhadracham, Yellandu, Manuguru and Aswaraopet bagged commendation award,
The hospitals selected for commendation awards would get Rs 1 lakhs each and Community Health Center of Palvancha would receive Rs 5 lakhs for selecting eco-friendly award.
The District Coordinator of Hospital Services Dr G Ravi Babu informed that all five TVVP hospitals, which have been visited by a team of Union Health ministry, bagged Kayakalp awards. It has become possible with the dedication and coordinated work of the staff of the hospitals. He informed that the district health department was also working with a goal to achieve ISO certification to the area hospital at Bhadrachalam.
