Nalgonda: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said the state government was implementing welfare schemes with utmost transparency, free from politics and favouritism.
On Sunday, the minister laid the foundation stone for drainage works in the 57th ward of Khammam city and distributed sanction letters for Indiramma houses and new ration cards to beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated that there was no room for irregularities in the selection of beneficiaries, as the final lists were prepared through grama sabhas to ensure fairness.
He alleged that under the previous government, BRS leaders had cornered the lion’s share of welfare benefits, but the Congress government was not following such practices. He instructed officials to personally visit homes of selected beneficiaries to distribute sanction letters for Indiramma houses, CMRF aid, Kalyana Lakshmi cheques, and ration cards.
