Bank Holidays for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in January

Banks to remain closed on select Saturdays, Pongal and Republic Day in both states.

Hyderabad: Banks in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will observe several holidays in January 2026, as per the official holiday calendar.
In both states, banks will remain closed on January 10 (Second Saturday) and January 24 (Fourth Saturday). January 14 (Wednesday) will be a holiday on account of Pongal, while January 26 (Monday) will be observed as Republic Day.
In addition, banks in Telangana will also be closed on January 1 (Thursday) to mark New Year’s Day, which is not listed as a bank holiday in Andhra Pradesh.
Customers are advised to plan their banking activities in advance, as physical banking services will not be available on these days, though digital banking services will continue to function.
