Bandi To Distribute 20,000 Bicycles To SSC Students
All necessary preparations have been completed, including the establishment of approximately 21 stalls.
Karimnagar:Union minister of state for home affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, is set to distribute approximately 20,000 bicycles free of cost to students studying in Class 10 at government schools across the Karimnagar parliamentary segment, as a gesture of goodwill in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The distribution programme will begin at 11 am on Wednesday at Ambedkar Stadium in the city.
Recognising that many students in government schools are unable to afford bicycles and face difficulties reaching schools located far from their homes, Bandi Sanjay has placed an order with a reputed bicycle manufacturer and financed the purchase through corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds. This initiative marks the first instance in the country where an elected representative is providing 20,000 bicycles in a single parliamentary constituency.
All necessary preparations have been completed, including the establishment of approximately 21 stalls. To ensure that each eligible student receives a bicycle, the distribution process has been entrusted to the district collector. Acting on the collector’s instructions, the district educational officers (DEOs) and mandal educational officers (MEOs) have compiled a list of students from each school.
