Bandi Sanjay Warns Of Legal Notices To BRS Leaders
The Union minister made these remarks while discussing the issue of UIDF funds and the tendering process with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor
KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, said he would serve legal notices to BRS leaders who were attempting to tarnish the reputation of the BJP with allegations of corruption.
He alleged that leaders who had ruined the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation with corruption, irregularities, and lawlessness over the past decade were now levelling false charges against the BJP.
“There is no need to fear when we have done nothing wrong. There is no reason to tolerate such people,” he said, directing Karimnagar Mayor Kolagani Srinivas and Deputy Mayor Y. Sunil Rao to issue legal notices immediately. He further asked them to initiate legal action if the BRS leaders did not apologise.
The Union minister made these remarks while discussing the issue of UIDF funds and the tendering process with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
When informed that BRS leaders were trying to blame the BJP in the UIDF tendering process, he clarified that the tenders came under the purview of the state government and had nothing to do with the BJP. He accused some BRS leaders of deliberately attempting to tarnish the party’s image.
He said Karimnagar people, vexed with corruption and anarchy under the BRS, had elected the BJP in municipal elections. The BJP was working with the motto of fulfilling the aspirations of the people without giving scope for corruption. Unable to digest this, BRS leaders were trying to malign the BJP, he added.
