Bandi Sanjay Vows Rapid Development of BJP-led Villages
Sanjay also predicted that MPTC and ZPTC elections could be held soon and alleged that the Congress government was keen to rush the polls fearing erosion of public support.

Karimnagar: Union minister of state for home affairs bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday pledged rapid development of villages won by BJP-backed sarpanches, saying their progress would set a benchmark for others.
Addressing a meeting of newly elected BJP sarpanches at a private function hall here, Sanjay described them as “heroes” for defeating candidates of ruling parties and assured them of full support despite the State’s financial constraints. He said funds would be mobilised through MPLADS, CSR contributions and Central government schemes to ensure visible development in BJP-led villages.
The minister said the aim was to make development so evident that sarpanches from Congress and BRS would feel compelled to follow suit. He set December 18 as the deadline for sarpanches from other parties to join the BJP if they wanted similar development support.
Sanjay also predicted that MPTC and ZPTC elections could be held soon and alleged that the Congress government was keen to rush the polls fearing erosion of public support. He urged BJP workers and newly elected representatives to begin preparations immediately for upcoming local body elections and to maximise the party’s gains in the remaining phases of the panchayat polls.
