Bandi Sanjay Slams Congress, BRS Over ‘False Tears’ on Teachers Day
He questioned whether Congress and BRS were not equally responsible for the miseries faced by students, claiming that many had been forced to discontinue higher education midway due to the non‑release of fee reimbursement dues.
Hyderabad:Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay Kumar urged Congress and BRS leaders to stop shedding “crocodile tears” over teachers with false assurances and promises, accusing them of being responsible for the collapse of the education system in the state.
Alleging that chief minister A. Revanth Reddy and BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao had been lying on Teachers Day, Sanjay said if they were genuinely concerned about teachers, the government must release pending dearness allowance instalments, announce pay revision, clear dues, and ensure timely payment of retirement benefits. He questioned whether Congress and BRS were not equally responsible for the miseries faced by students, claiming that many had been forced to discontinue higher education midway due to the non‑release of fee reimbursement dues.
“The BRS is responsible for burdening the state with ₹8 lakh crore debt, and the Congress, in a short span of 32 months, has raised another ₹3 lakh crore. Is it not the Congress and the BRS who are responsible for the closure of many government schools and the dismantling of the education system in the state?” he asked.
“Does KTR have the guts to tell Gen Z that he has never taken drugs and to urge the student community not to take them? KTR must openly apologise for the suicides of Intermediate students,” Sanjay said. “He must also admit regret for removing self‑employment schemes for youth, the leakage of question papers, and the non‑release of unemployment allowance.”
Sanjay claimed that during his seven‑year stint as MP, he managed to secure ₹22,000 crore for the development of Karimnagar, and after the BJP secured the mayoral seat in Karimnagar, he managed an additional ₹840 crore for the town’s development.
