Bandi Sanjay Asks BJP Civic Leaders to Issue Legal Notices to BRS Leaders
He said the BJP was committed to fulfilling public aspirations without giving any scope for corruption

KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday asked BJP leaders in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation to issue legal notices to BRS leaders over what he termed "baseless allegations" of corruption against the BJP.
Speaking to Karimnagar mayor Kolagani Srinivas and deputy mayor Y. Sunil Rao during a discussion on the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF) works and tender process, Sanjay said there was no need to tolerate attempts to tarnish the BJP's reputation.
He directed the mayor and deputy mayor to serve legal notices on the BRS leaders and initiate legal action if they failed to apologise.
The Union minister for state said the UIDF tender process was under the purview of the state government and that the BJP had no role in it. He alleged that BRS leaders were falsely linking the BJP to the tender process and making corruption allegations to defame the party.
Claiming that the previous BRS administration had ruined the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation through corruption, irregularities and misgovernance, Sanjay said the people had elected the BJP in the municipal elections seeking transparent governance.
He said the BJP was committed to fulfilling public aspirations without giving any scope for corruption and alleged that the BRS was making false accusations because it could not accept the party's growing public support.
