Bandi Clarifies On Rumours Of His Quitting Ministry

KARIMNAGAR: Union minister for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar clarified that there is no room for personal decisions within the BJP, as the party leadership decides the role of each member. He was responding to media reports suggesting that he had expressed a desire to be relieved of his ministerial duties. Speaking to reporters in Choppadandi, Karimnagar district, on Saturday, he addressed the issue.

“We never impose our personal desires on the party leadership by demanding specific posts. The BJP is a disciplined party. We work by accepting any responsibility given by the leadership. It is our duty, as party workers and leaders, to implement the decisions made by the high command,” he said.

He urged the media not to publish false reports, stressing that, unlike parties such as the BRS and Congress, the BJP functions through collective decision-making rather than individual preferences.

Later, Bandi Sanjay participated in the launch of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme in the Choppadandi constituency during the 'Kisan Utsav Divas' programme, where he viewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address from Varanasi. Following the speech, the Prime Minister electronically transferred the Kisan Nidhi funds to the accounts of farmers across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Bandi Sanjay stated that no country in history has ever prospered while its farmers suffer. “Keeping this in mind, the Modi government has spent nearly ₹71 lakh crore on the welfare of farmers, agriculture, and related sectors over the last 11 years,” he said.

As part of the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the Modi government has deposited over ₹3.89 lakh crore into the accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers across the country. In Telangana alone, over 30.80 lakh farmers have received more than ₹13,000 crore.

In Karimnagar district, ₹36.26 crore was deposited into the bank accounts of around 1,81,305 farmers. In Choppadandi mandal, 4,621 farmers received ₹92.24 lakh under the scheme, he added.
