Bandi Alleges Conspiracy Behind BC Reservations
Calling bicycles the students’ “first asset,” he encouraged them to use them to attend classes on time and focus on their studies. He added that Modi Kits, including bags and notebooks, would soon be distributed to students from LKG to Class 6 under similar CSR efforts.

Warangal: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday alleged that there is a major conspiracy behind the Congress government’s implementation of Backward Classes (BC) reservations. Speaking to media persons in Rajanna Sircilla district, he claimed the state government is attempting to grant 10 percent reservations to Muslims under the guise of implementing 42 percent BC reservations.
He demanded the immediate removal of Muslims from the BC list to ensure the full 42 percent reservation benefits go solely to BCs. “It is completely unfair for the Congress to offer 100 percent reservations to Muslims, who constitute just 12 percent of the population, while providing only 32 percent to BCs, who form 51 percent,” he said.
Referring to the Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy government’s decision to include Muslims in the BC list with a 4 percent quota, Sanjay said it had already led to injustice to BCs in GHMC elections, and warned that increasing it to 10 percent would cause greater damage. He accused the Congress of manipulating the caste census, citing a reduction in the BC population from 51 percent, as shown in the Comprehensive Household Survey, to 46 percent.
He further alleged that certain BC organizations had sided with the government instead of opposing it, thereby betraying the interests of the BC community. He challenged the Congress to prove its sincerity by removing Muslims from the BC list and warned of a statewide protest if this demand is not met.
Speaking about the Banakacherla project, Bandi Sanjay informed that the Centre will hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. He urged Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to strongly present the state's case, assuring that the central government would act impartially.
Earlier in the day, Bandi Sanjay, along with MLC Anji Reddy, District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, SP Mahesh B. Gite, and education officials, distributed bicycles to Class 10 government school students under the ‘Modi Gift’ CSR initiative at the Government Junior College Grounds in Sircilla town.
Calling bicycles the students’ “first asset,” he encouraged them to use them to attend classes on time and focus on their studies. He added that Modi Kits, including bags and notebooks, would soon be distributed to students from LKG to Class 6 under similar CSR efforts.
