Bageerath Questioned For Second Day in POCSO Case
Police may further question him based on findings emerging from the digital analysis and statements already recorded

HYDERABAD: Pet Basheerabad police on Thursday continued the second day of custody interrogation of Bandi Sai Bageerath in connection with a Pocso case registered against him, with investigators questioning him based on statements recorded during the course of investigation and digital evidence.
Bageerath, son of Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, was taken into police custody on Wednesday after being escorted from Cherlapally Central Prison to Osmania General Hospital for medical examination. After doctors declared him fit, police shifted him for questioning and reportedly took him to a farmhouse in Moinabad as part of scene recreation and verification of facts linked to the investigation.
A SIT team, led by senior police officer DCP Ritiraj along with Pet Basheerabad police, questioned Bageerath and recorded his statement during the first day of custody. Officials were examining details based on the survivor’s statement and statements gathered from persons linked to the case on day two.
Police continued questioning to corroborate statements, timelines and movements relevant to the allegations. Police are also retrieving and analysing data from Bhageerath’s seized mobile phone, including communication records and other digital material that can aid the investigation.
