ASI Govind Naik Killed After Police Vehicle Hits Him in Sangareddy
Driver on the run as family alleges foul play
Sangareddy: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), identified as Govind Naik, died after being hit by a police vehicle outside the Manoor Police Station in Sangareddy district on Tuesday.
According to police officials, the vehicle allegedly rammed into the officer, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Ramarao, is currently absconding, and a search operation has been launched to trace him.
Meanwhile, the deceased officer’s family members have alleged that the incident was not accidental but a deliberate act, accusing the driver of intentionally running over Govind Naik. Police said an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
