Aruna Alleges Congress-BRS Deal
Aruna alleged that both Congress and BRS have a history of trading barbs in public while cutting mutually beneficial deals in private.

Hyderabad: BJP national vice-president and Mahbubnagar MP D.K. Arunahas launched a sharp attack on Congress and BRS, accusing them of engaging in “collusive politics” to mislead the people of Telangana. In a statement released on Wednesday, she alleged that the two rivals were staging a “hide and seek” drama in public while striking clandestine package deals behind closed doors.
Aruna recalled that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had earlier levelled serious charges against the previous BRS government, accusing it of illegal phone tapping and surveillance, including of his own family. She questioned his recent change in tone, pointing out that he now appeared to doubt whether such tapping had occurred, citing the lack of any CID notice for appearance.
“Were Revanth Reddy’s earlier allegations mere theatrics, or have the circumstances changed due to a package deal with BRS?” she asked, calling it a clear sign of covert understandings between the two parties.
She alleged that both Congress and BRS have a history of trading barbs in public while cutting mutually beneficial deals in private. Citing the Kaleshwaram irrigation project, Aruna said central agencies had already flagged irregularities in the multi-crore initiative. She reminded that Revanth Reddy, as PCC chief, had demanded a CBI probe into alleged corruption involving the KCR family, but after assuming office, was acting as a “protective shield” for BRS leaders instead of ensuring accountability.
