Army Deployed in Medak for Rescue Ops
Eight civilians trapped by floodwaters in low-lying areas were rescued and given basic medical assistance

The Army is working with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the civil administration in ongoing relief efforts.
Hyderabad: An Indian Army column from the Bison Division was deployed in Medak district on Friday to carry out rescue operations after the overflow of Pocharam dam reservoir and the collapse of the SH-765D bridge disrupted connectivity and stranded residents.
Eight civilians trapped by floodwaters in low-lying areas were rescued and given basic medical assistance. In a separate operation, eight missing children were located and safely brought back to their families in Kamareddy district.
The Army is working with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the civil administration in ongoing relief efforts.
The Army is to remain deployed in Medak and Kamareddy to support evacuation, medical assistance, and restoration of access where needed.
