Hyderabad: Rajendranagar traffic police have launched a search for a couple who performed a dangerous stunt on a motorcycle at the Aramghar flyover. A video of the act went viral and sparked public outrage. The police have already identified the vehicle using its number plate and issued a challan for multiple traffic violations, including dangerous driving, riding without a helmet and improper seating.

“We traced the vehicle through the RTA database and visited the registered address, but the couple was not found. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them,” said Rajendranagar traffic inspector C.H. Raju.

The video, which surfaced on social media on Sunday, shows the woman sitting on the man’s lap facing each other as he rides the two-wheeler, allegedly filming the stunt. Shocked commuters filmed the couple and posted it online, criticising the act as reckless and indecent.

The netizens also raised questions on the safety of the couple along with the commuters on the road. Taking it to the social media, many users expressed concern on such incidents and questioned if the case is registered.

Meanwhile, the inspector said that a case would be registered once they are identified and relevant sections would be slapped on the duo.
