Ara Mastan Appears Before SIT for Third Time

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday questioned poll strategist and political analyst Ara Mastan for the third time at Jubilee Police station in connection with the phone tapping case.
After the new SIT was formed under the leadership of city police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, the officials served notices to Mastan and questioned him on Friday.
It was reported that crucial details related to the phone tapping case have emerged during this questioning. During his recent questioning, it appeared that his previous statements were reviewed, and the same questions were asked again for confirmation.
SIT officials thoroughly examined the recordings of phone calls made by Ara Mastan with various key political leaders, public representatives, and other prominent figures since 2020.
Based on this call data, the SIT officials are reportedly focusing on whether phone tapping occurred, and if so, under whose orders it was carried out.
After the questioning, Mastan spoke to the media persons stating that the newly formed SIT had summoned him for questioning on Friday and he had appeared as per the officials' summons. He revealed that the same questions asked previously were repeated to confirm his statement. He said that he gave clear answers to all the questions asked by the SIT officials.
