Two individuals involved in the real estate business — Tulasi Gopal and Giridhar — took ₹25 lakh from Ramachandraiah: Police
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh MLC Ramachandraiah was allegedly duped by a gang of fraudsters in a land scam, according to reports on Saturday. In his complaint to the Jubilee Hills police, Ramachandraiah said some realtors had deceived him by claiming ownership of a five-acre plot of land in Madhapur and collected an advance of ₹25 lakh from him.
Jubilee Hills inspector D. Ashok said two individuals involved in the real estate business — Tulasi Gopal and Giridhar — took ₹25 lakh from Ramachandraiah after promising to secure five acres of land in the Madhapur area.
Subsequently, not only did they fail to show the land, they also did not return the money. Inspector Ashok stated that a case has been registered against the two individuals who had been traced to Tirupati. They would be arrested and brought to the city, the inspector said.
