Another Visakhapatnam Fishing Boat Stranded Off Odisha Coast

Another fishing boat from Visakhapatnam has been stranded off the Odisha coast after suffering an engine failure, leaving its crew adrift at sea for the past four days.

The boat, which sailed from the Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour on June 22, is currently stranded amid rough waters near Puri. The fishermen sent a video message to their families, informing them of their situation and seeking help.

Authorities have initiated rescue efforts to bring the fishermen back safely. Vizianagaram MP Kalisetti Appala Naidu spoke to the Visakhapatnam District Collector, who assured that Coast Guard teams were being mobilised for the rescue operation.

The stranded fishermen have been identified as residents of Chintapalli village in Pusapatirega mandal of Vizianagaram district. The MP also spoke to the families of the fishermen over the phone and assured them that all efforts were being made to rescue the crew safely.
