Hyderabad: Director-General of Police CV Anand here on Tuesday reviewed the services related to the police welfare society, Bhadrata and health protection wing.
“The police welfare has always been close to my heart due to the stress which our police officers go through. Today I reviewed our Police Welfare Society and Bhadrata and Arogya Bhadratha,” he said in a post on ‘X’.
“I want to support meritorious children of personnel through increased scholarships and JEE/NEET assistance, along with more marriage, medical and education loans, corpus insurance and grant based assistance,” he said.
“The new EHS Employee Health Scheme has subsumed our Arogya Bhadratha scheme now. Under the scheme, 33,126 beneficiaries availed treatment in 2025 and 12,392 up to June 2026, with Rs.181.74 crore and Rs.73.61 crore spent respectively. Our Group Personal Accidental Insurance covers families of personnel who die in service, from Rs.5 lakh up to Rs.25lakh for IPS officers.”
Canteen and commercial complex revenue will strengthen YIPS, children's education, exam coaching and marriage assistance.
“I have also directed a digital welfare management system for real time, transparent tracking by computerising all records from the DGP office to the districts. Directed the society to increase low interest loans to all eligible personnel, including housing, personal, marriage and education loans up to 30lakh,” he said.
“Every rupee must reach the eligible employee, fairly and transparently. Association Elections have been ordered after 14 years and democratic functioning is expected. Recently I visited some districts and realised that the station maintenance bills and other regular expenditure was not sanctioned the entire last and got them passed by finance so that the officers in the field get some relief. Welfare of my entire staff remains my top priority,” he added.
