Align Technology to Invest ₹1,800 Crore in Hyderabad, Create Over 300 Jobs
The proposed plant — Align’s fourth global manufacturing site — is expected to begin operations in 2027 and create more than 300 direct jobs over the coming years

Hyderabad:Align Technology, the California-based global device company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government to invest about Rs 1,800 crore to build its first manufacturing facility in Hyderabad.
The proposed plant — Align’s fourth global manufacturing site — is expected to begin operations in 2027 and create more than 300 direct jobs over the coming years. The company manufactures Invisalign clear aligners, iTero intraoral scanners and exocad CAD/CAM software.
The facility will be enabled by large-scale 3D printing, advanced manufacturing systems and digital technologies, and is designed to augment Align’s global production capacity of nearly one million clear aligner parts per day.
The MoU was executed by Jitse Marree, senior vice-president of Align Technology, and Sarvesh Singh, CEO of Telangana Life Sciences. Senior company leadership held discussions with IT and industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu to discuss Hyderabad’s talent availability, industrial infrastructure and policy environment.
The new facility will complement Align’s existing Hyderabad footprint, which includes its global capability centre and the Align Innovation Centre, and is expected to strengthen the city’s position as a hub for advanced healthcare manufacturing, precision engineering and next‑generation medical device production.
Sources said the project could spur ancillary activity across local suppliers, services and R&D, enhancing Telangana’s broader advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
