Hyderabad:Mujahid Alam Khan, the co-conspirator in the murder of senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin, had offered Rs 10 crore for withdrawing his cases against the Alam family. However, when Moizuddin refused to compromise, Mujahid and his father, Mahbub Ali Khan, decided to kill the advocate and entrusted the task to Tawoos and Munir, reliable sources disclosed.
Sources said the conspirators hired Kishan Singh alias Pappu to execute the murder plan and reportedly paid `15 lakh as supari. Kishan Singh, who was allegedly introduced by Tawoos and Munir to conspirators, recruited a gang comprising Vinay Goud alias Nani, Singuri Abhijeet and Manideep of Kavadiguda.
On the instructions of Kishan, the trio hatched a plan, bought a car, conducted a recce and killed Moizuddin, when Mujahid and Mahbub were in Bengaluru as planned.
Supari gang member Abhijith, who is a stuntman, took the driver’s seat from Vinay after the murder. He drove the SUV towards PVNR Express Highway, abandoned it on the Ibrahimpatnam bypass road, and all of them escaped to Goa.
However, task force teams arrested Abhijit after identifying him through CCTV footage. Based on his confession, Manideep, Vinay, Tawoos, and Muneer have been taken into custody. Kingpin Kishan Singh, however, is still at large.
