Alair Revenue Inspector Caught in Rs.14,000 Bribe Case

Rao demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.14,000 from the complainant through Shaik Ahmed, who is Grama Palana Officer at Kolanupaka village in Alair for doing an official favour: ACB

Hyderabad: Vemuganti Purnachander Rao, who is Revenue Inspector of Alair mandal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, was caught by the sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with a bribe case.

Rao demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs.14,000 from the complainant through Shaik Ahmed, who is Grama Palana Officer at Kolanupaka village in Alair for doing an official favour.

He demanded for the issuing report to the Tahsildar to facilitate the registration of the land sold by the complainant's sister. The bribe amount of Rs.14,000 was recovered from the possession of Ahmed.

The officials produced the arrested persons before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally after which the court remanded them to judicial custody. The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons.
