Akhil, Kethan, Raydu Top Shows in ‘C’ Cricket League

Hyderabad:The Hyderabad Cricket Association’s ‘C’ Division One-Day League Championship produced a strong blend of explosive batting and standout bowling, with four centurions leading the individual-performance charts on Wednesday.

Walker Town’s P. Raydu Nayak topped the run-scoring exploits with a magnificent unbeaten 179 from 137 balls, including 12 fours and seven sixes. Siva Aditya Das Gupta’s 118 from only 66 balls was another outstanding display, featuring 23 fours and a six, while Mohd Amear struck an unbeaten 117 for Universal and K. Vishal Shabarish made 110 for Youth CC.

The bowling was equally prominent, led by two six-wicket hauls. Akhil Mainam returned exceptional figures of 6/12 for SN Group, while Kethan Sai Kumar claimed 6/27 for Noble. Seven additional five-wicket performances added further depth to the bowling highlights, with Shaik Hazi Basha’s 5/14 the most economical of the five-wicket hauls.

Several teams produced commanding batting performances. Walker Town posted 388/7 before dismissing Natraj for 176, while Youth reached 386/6 against Adnan. Heeraadhi completed a particularly emphatic victory after Siva Aditya Das Gupta’s rapid century helped them reach 259/4 before Raju Cricket Academy were restricted to 83/8. Boys Town also completed a successful chase of 274 after Universal had made 273/4.

The division featured several fast and decisive chases. Hyderabad Cricket Academy raced to 161/3 in just 19.1 overs against Shalimar CC, while Southern Stars chased 168 in 24.3 overs and Safilguda reached 118/3 in 21.5 overs.
