Akbaruddin Raises Concern Over Rising Dog Bite Incidents in Assembly
AIMIM MLA urges government to address public safety, says children are among the victims

Hyderabad: AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Thursday raised serious concerns in the Telangana Assembly over the increasing number of dog bite incidents across the state. Clarifying that his remarks were neither sarcastic nor intended as criticism, Akbaruddin said the issue needs urgent attention from the government.
Referring to the presence of the Health Minister in the House, he said that cases of dog bites are on the rise and pose a major public safety concern. Akbaruddin pointed out that while animal rights activists argue against catching stray dogs, people—especially children—are being bitten.
“These are major issues,” he said, stressing that the government must find a balanced solution that ensures public safety while addressing concerns related to animal welfare.
