AITUC Rejects SCCL Claim Of Surplus Manpower
AITUC leader Rangaiah said issues relating to medical board removals, income tax matters and allocation of housing sites had remained pending for years, causing inconvenience to Singareni workers.

Nalgonda: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) on Monday dismissed claims by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited management that the company was facing surplus manpower.
Addressing a gate meeting at the PVK-5 coal mine in Kothagudem, Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, Miryala Rangaiah, additional general secretary of AITUC, said the company had about 23,000 employees, including 2,500 officers, and around 31,000 contract workers. He said the workforce was not in excess of requirement.
He said issues relating to medical board removals, income tax matters and allocation of housing sites had remained pending for years, causing inconvenience to Singareni workers.
Rangaiah urged the state government to clear dues of ₹56,000 to Singareni workers.
