Air Bunched Cables to Replace Hazardous Power Lines of LT Network in Hyderabad: Musharraf Faruqui

A plan has been formulated to install air bunched cables in these areas by the end of this month: TGSPDCL

Hyderabad: Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL) Chairman and Managing Director Musharraf Faruqui announced that air bunched cables also called as insulated cables will replace hazardous LT overhead conductors located dangerously close to houses in slums and narrow lanes across greater Hyderabad.

During pole-to-pole inspections conducted last week in the four circles of the Metro Zone — Banjara Hills, Secunderabad, Hyderabad Central, and Hyderabad South—it was identified that approximately 550 kilometers of LT overhead conductors need replacement. A plan has been formulated to install air bunched cables in these areas by the end of this month.

Musharraf Faruqui stated that these services will also be extended to other circles in Greater Hyderabad. On Wednesday, a review meeting was held at the corporate office with around 160 Sub-Engineers and Assistant Engineers from the Metro Zone, chaired by Musharraf Faruqui.

Discussions were held with Assistant Engineers regarding field-level conditions. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that Assistant Engineers were like team leaders for the organization at the field level. He highlighted their critical role in resolving issues and contributing to the company’s progress.

He noted that their suggestions, based on real field conditions, play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted power supply. Musharraf Faruqui urged Assistant Engineers to adhere to timelines, remain accessible to consumers, and contribute to the organization’s reputation.
