AIMIM Expels MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig with Immediate Effect
The party leadership has also directed him to immediately step down from his legislative post
Hyderabad: In a sudden political development, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Saturday expelled its Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), Mirza Rahmath Baig, from the party with immediate effect.
The party leadership has also directed him to immediately step down from his legislative post by submitting his resignation to the Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council.
The decision was communicated through an official party release issued by AIMIM Joint Secretary S.A. Hussain Anwar.
"Mirza Rahmath Baig has been expelled from AIMIM with immediate effect. He must immediately submit his resignation to the Chairman of the Legislative Council," the party announced in its statement.
Baig was elected to the Telangana Legislative Council under the Hyderabad Local Authorities constituency in 2023.
