Husband and wife reportedly consumed pesticide after prolonged illness; police register case.
The deceased were identified as Ram Reddy and his wife Lakshmi. According to police, the couple had been suffering from health-related issues for some time.
Bachannapet: In a tragic incident, a husband and wife died by suicide after allegedly consuming pesticide at Chinna Ramacherla village in Bachannapet mandal of Jangaon district on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Ram Reddy and his wife Lakshmi. According to police, the couple had been suffering from health-related issues for some time. Distressed over their prolonged illness and with no apparent way out, they allegedly took the extreme step around midnight.
Sub-Inspector Hameed visited the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection, and shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, police said.
