AIG Hospitals And ICMR Ink Pact For Joint Research In Digital Health And Patient Care

HYDERABAD:AIG Hospitals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to carry out joint research in digital health, healthcare delivery and translational medicine, while working towards taking research outcomes into clinical use.

“At AIG, we have always believed that the future of healthcare lies in the seamless integration of clinical excellence, research, and innovation. This collaboration with ICMR is a natural extension of that vision,” said Dr D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals, adding, “By combining our strengths in high-quality patient care and translational research with ICMR’s leadership in national health research, we aim to create solutions that are not only scientifically robust but also scalable and impactful for the larger population.”

The agreement brings together AIG’s clinical experience and innovation platforms with ICMR’s national research network and policy reach. Both sides will undertake joint studies in digital health and allied areas, while also preparing grant proposals and seeking national and international funding.

“Collaborations between leading clinical institutions and national research bodies are critical to addressing the complex and evolving healthcare challenges of our country,” said Dr Rajiv Bahl, Director General, ICMR, adding that such work can generate evidence and translate research into benefits for patients.

The MoU also covers academic events, workshops and wider dissemination through digital platforms. Regular reviews will track progress and identify new areas of work in line with national healthcare priorities.
