Hyderabad: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday released the New Year 2026 Cooperative Officers’ Diary and Calendar at a programme organised by the Telangana State Cooperative Gazetted Officers Central Association at the office of the commissioner of cooperative societies in Gruhakalpa Bhavan, Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the diary would be useful for employees of the cooperative department to systematically record details during audits and inspections. He complimented the TCGOA committee members for bringing out a high-quality diary and calendar at the start of the year.
Principal secretary and commissioner of cooperative societies K. Surender Mohan advised employees to further improve their performance and assured that the department would make sustained efforts to address the issues faced by the employee community on a priority basis.
TCGOA general secretary Dr D. Bheemraj said cooperative employees were disappointed over the lack of promotions from assistant registrar (AR) to deputy registrar (DR) levels for the past 24 years. He pointed out that even employees belonging to reserved categories had not received promotions during this period.
Bheemraj alleged that promotions had been limited to employees of the 1995 batch and said justice had not been done to lower-level staff. Recalling assurances given earlier, he said an experienced minister had promised last year to clear the promotions file, but the process remained pending. He expressed hope that the issue would finally be resolved under the present leadership of the cooperation department.
