Adluri Urges Mango Farmers To Adopt Tech, Go Scientific
Adluri Laxman Kumar asks farmers to adopt modern methods and use horticulture schemes
Karimnagar: Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar on Monday said farmers could increase returns from mango cultivation by adopting modern technology and scientific methods.
The minister was speaking at a district-level mango workshop organised by the horticulture and sericulture department at Sriramulapalli in Gollapalli mandal of Jagtial district.
He advised farmers to focus on horticulture crops alongside traditional cultivation, stating that scientific methods suited to changing environmental conditions could yield higher benefits with lower investment.
He said crops such as mango provide sustained income over a longer period and added that the state government was implementing schemes to support technical guidance, quality plantation, water management and horticulture development.
He urged farmers to utilise these schemes and said enhancing farmers’ income remained a priority, with emphasis on promoting horticulture crops.
District collector B. Satyaprasad, horticulture officials, scientists and farmers were present.
