Adilabad: Adilabad Adivasi artistes captivated thousands of devotees at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj with their rendition of the “Kommu Koya” (bison horn) dance. The performance, held at Kalagram and spanning three days from February 10, was part of a cultural programme organised by the South Central Zone Cultural Centre in Nagpur.
Led by Kathle Sridhar of the Adivasi Sakala Kala Sankshema Sangam, the ensemble — which included artists Chittibabu, Saraiah, Veeraiah, Samakarao, Ajitha, Rekha, and Shushmitha — showcased a vibrant display of traditional art. The performers were happy with the rare opportunity to present their cultural heritage at the international religious event.
