Adilabad To Open 10 Soya Procurement Centres

Adilabad district collector Rajarshi Shah on Friday said 10 soya procurement centres would be opened across the district to ensure farmers receive the minimum support price (MSP) for their produce.

Reviewing the soya crop and yield with officials, the collector said the centres would be set up in Adilabad, Jainad, Bela, Ichoda, Boath, Utnoor, Indravelli, Narnoor and Neredigonda. He urged farmers to sell their produce at the centres to receive the MSP.

He directed officials to ensure that payments for the produce were credited to farmers’ bank accounts.

District agriculture officer Ravinder Singh, district marketing officer Y. Gajanand, Markfed district manager Mahesh Kumar and others attended the meeting.
