Adilabad Police Crush 121 Modified Silencers to Curb Noise Pollution

Hyderabad: Around 121 modified silencers were crushed using a road-roller in Adilabad district on Monday.
These silencers were seized during a special drive conducted by the district police against the use of modified silencers, causing sound pollution. The exercise was carried out under the supervision of Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan.
As part of a special drive, 121 modified silencers were removed from vehicles and only the silencers allocated by the company were installed and released to motorists. Speaking on the occasion, Mahajan advised the youth not to install modified silencers causing problems for the people.
He warned that from now on, a special drive will be conducted in all police stations across the district, and those who have installed modified silencers to make firecracker sounds will be removed from their vehicles and cases will be registered against them.
