ACB Traps Forest Officials in Kothagudem Over ₹3.51 Lakh Bribe

Kothagudem: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday trapped forest officials in Kothagudem district while accepting a bribe of ₹3.51 lakh. Plantation Manager Thadi Rajender and a private individual, Chennam Gopala Krishna, were caught red-handed while allegedly receiving the bribe for clearing eucalyptus cutting bills amounting to around 3,900 tonnes.
The bribe was reportedly accepted on behalf of Thati Sravani, Divisional Manager of the Telangana Forest Development Corporation Limited (TFDCL), who is currently absconding.
ACB officials arrested Rajender and the private person and said further investigation is underway to trace the absconding official and probe the case in detail.
