ACB Raids Transport Official, Seizes Rs.12.72 Crore Worth of Property

The ACB was acting on a case of disproportionate assets registered against Kishan Naik, a resident of Raja Rajeswarinagar in Old Bowenpally of Secunderabad.

Hyderabad: The ACB on Tuesday seized crores of rupees worth property belonging to Mahbubnagar deputy transport commissioner M. Kishan Naik, during searches that it conducted at 11 locations.

While the document value of the seized property is ₹12.72 crore, the ACB said the market value would be higher and added that the search was continuing for additional assets.

The ACB was acting on a case of disproportionate assets registered against Kishan Naik, a resident of Raja Rajeswarinagar in Old Bowenpally of Secunderabad. He is accused of acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means.

As the offence is punishable under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), searches were conducted on December 23, 2025, at his residence and 11 other locations belonging to his family members and associates.

Assets found during the searches include: a 50 per cent share in Lahari International Hotel, Nizamabad; ownership of 3,000 square yards of Royaloak furniture space in Nizamabad; two flats in Ashoka Township in Nizamabad district; 31 acres of agricultural land under Nizampet Tahsildar jurisdiction in Sangareddy district; and 10 acres of commercial land within Nizamabad municipal limits.

Apart from this, ACB teams also found a polyhouse and shed constructed on a 4,000 square feet area within the limits of Nizampet mandal in Ranga Reddy district, a bank balance of ₹1.37 crore, gold ornaments weighing one kg, a Honda City car and an Innova Crysta car. All the properties have been seized pending further investigation to ascertain their exact market value, an ACB press release.
