ACB Raids in Sathupally Municipality Detects Suspicious Transactions
During the verification process, some more irregularities in maintenance of records and collection of revenues were also noticed, which require detailed examination

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a surprise check at the office of the Municipal Commissioner of Sathupally Municipality in Khammam district. During the check, records, financial transactions, taxes, pending applications, and overall functioning of the office was verified.
During verification of the staff's mobile phones, suspicious transactions were observed. In particular, the mobile phone of Naguibandi Narasimha Rao, a Bill Collector of Sathupally Municipality, revealed suspicious transactions involving M. Srinivas, who is Manager of Sathupally Municipality, and others.
During the verification, some more irregularities in maintenance of records and collection of revenues were also noticed, which require detailed examination. Further verification of records is in progress to ascertain the extent of lapses and to fix responsibility on the officials concerned.
A detailed report will be submitted to the government recommending necessary action against the responsible municipal officials, according to a statement issued by the ACB on Wednesday.
It further stated that around Rs.14.23 crore related to LRS, property tax, shopping complex property tax, advertisement tax was not collected for the financial year 2025-26.
