ACB Finds Two Suitcases Of Property Papers With Mahbubnagar Transport Officer

Hyderabad: The special ACB court has remanded Mahbubnagar deputy commissioner of transport (DTC) Mood Kishan Naik to 14 days judicial custody for possessing Rs 12.72 crore worth properties disproportionate to his known sources, unearthed by the ACB during raids on Tuesday.
Sources said that the ACB had recovered two suitcases of documents of properties whose value could be over Rs 260 crore. While the ACB arrested Kishan Naik, his driver Enugu Shivshankar, who is suspected to be a benami, managed to escape.

During the searches, ACB found that Kishan was living a lavish life at his bungalow at Alwal. His neighbours knew him as an IT employee.
According to a senior ACB officer, Kishan owned 31-acre land in Narayankhed, 10 acres in Nizamabad, 3,000 square yards of commercial land leased to a furniture outlet, two flats in Ashok Township, a polyhouse, petrol pumps in Nizamabad and other districts, gold ornaments weighing about one kilogram, and bank deposits worth Rs 1.37 crore and a 50 per cent stake in Lahari International Hotel in Nizamabad.
