ACB Complaints Ignored, Says Forum for Good Governance
They alleged that the cases registered by ACB were not being prosecuted quickly, and the manipulation is leading corrupt officials to join back in the department again.

Hyderabad:Forum for Good Governance, in a letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, said that despite the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) filing complaints against corrupt officials, authorities have no fear of punishment for corruption.
They alleged that the cases registered by ACB were not being prosecuted quickly, and the manipulation is leading corrupt officials to join back in the department again.
The forum said that Jagadeesh Babu, assistant engineer (PR) of Peddapally district, was caught on July 12 for attempting to take a bribe of `90,000. They said that in 2017, Jagadeesh was caught by ACB for attempting to take a bribe of `1.5 lakh in Karimnagar. They said that while the 2017 case was still pending, Jagadeesh was given a posting who got caught again in 2025.
Forum further said that deputy commercial tax officer D. Srinivas Reddy was booked by ACB in 2018, but since the past seven years no chargesheet has been filed in the court. “When his promotion was due he approached High Court and got orders to consider his promotion to the post of CTO without reference to ACB case as charge sheet was not filed in court”, the forum said.
They said that delays in prosecution and lack of action from the government has made corrupt officials fearless. They suggested the government to complete the ACB inquiries within three months, grant prosecution permissions swiftly and close cases within a year. They also demanded not to give postings to officials who have previously been booked by the ACB.
