ABVP Protests Over Govt School Issues, Fee Hike in Hyderabad
ABVP national executive council member Jeevan said that it is unfortunate that attempts are being made to close government schools without strengthening them

Hyderabad: Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday staged a demonstration at the School Education department director's office in Saifabad demanding solution to the problems being faced by the government schools and to prevent fee extortion by the private and corporate schools.
Raising slogans denouncing the inaction of the State government in resolving the issues related to school education, a large number of ABVP activists took part in the demonstration. Speaking on the occasion, ABVP national executive council member Jeevan said that it is unfortunate that attempts are being made to close government schools without strengthening them.
He said that the government take immediate action against the fee extortion in private and corporate schools and bring a Fee Control Act. He demanded that the Right to Education Act be implemented strictly and that the vacant teaching, non-teaching, MEO and DEO posts be filled immediately.
He said that basic facilities be provided in government schools, permanent buildings be constructed for Gurukul schools, and the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) be implemented effectively.
“If the government fails to respond and resolve the students' problems, the movement will be intensified across the State,” he added.
