Nizamabad: Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Nizamabad district operations manager Lakavath Suresh has advised citizens of all age groups to update their Aadhaar details every five years.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, he said Aadhaar cards had no expiry date, but cardholders should update their biometric and iris details regularly. He said Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs) offered fast and transparent services.
“We are conducting awareness camps in educational institutions and other areas on Aadhar services”, he explained.
He said trained staff at the centres provided secure, fast and reliable services. “We are providing public facilities like an air-conditioning hall, comfortable seating, drinking water and wheelchair access, " he explained.
Suresh urged people to use Aadhaar services at the centres. He said a name was mandatory for enrolling newborn children and advised parents to decide on a name before the birth and bring the child for enrolment soon after.
He said parents were increasingly coming forward to enrol newborns to access various services.
