90% women in Amma Ku Bharosa sop at risk
Officials visit homes of 300 pregnant women

Bhongir:As part of the "Amma Ku Bharosa" programme, district officials, including doctors and health department staff, visited the homes of 300 pregnant women scheduled for delivery in March. The visits aimed to assess their health and provide medical guidance.
District collector M. Hanumantha Rao personally visited the home of Kumarrikuntla Aparna in Anantharam, Gundala mandal, and handed her a nutrition kit, advising her to follow prescribed medications.
Officials noted that 90 per cent of these women are classified as high-risk pregnancies due to iron deficiency, blood pressure, and diabetes. They provided dietary recommendations and emphasised the importance of delivering in government hospitals for both health benefits and cost savings.
