8 Maoist Cadres Surrendered Before Bhadradri Kothagudem Police

Eight members including a woman cadre of the banned CPI (Maoist) party surrendered before the Bhadradri Kothagudem Superintendent of Police B Rohit Raju on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Eight members including a woman cadre of the banned CPI (Maoist) party surrendered before the Bhadradri Kothagudem Superintendent of Police B Rohit Raju on Tuesday.

The eight Maoists cadres surrendered under the Operation Cheyutha initiative conducted by the Bhadradri Kothagudem police and CRPF battalions for the development and welfare of tribal communities. The eight cadres include an Area Committee Member (ACM) and a Party Member (PCM) while the remaining were Militia Members.

From January to August 2025, as many as 314 Maoist members under various ranks joined the mainstream. All of them received appropriate rehabilitation support. Each of the eight surrendered Maoist members on Tuesday will receive Rs.25,000 in cash as immediate assistance, totaling Rs.2 lakh.

Additional financial support will be provided based on their ranks, and once their Aadhaar cards and bank accounts are processed, the remaining amount will be deposited via cheque into their accounts, he added.
