Revanth Clears NY Bonanza Of Rs 713 cr For Staff
It may be recalled that the Praja Government had earlier assured employee unions that an amount of ₹700 crore would be released every month.

Hyderabad: In good news for state government employees, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the of eve of New Year on Wednesday directed finance minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to immediately release funds for the payment of pending dues of government employees. Acting swiftly, the finance minister released Rs 713 crore on Wednesday.
The decision was taken after the Chief Minister held detailed discussions with senior officials on issues concerning government employees. During the meeting, Revanth Reddy reviewed the findings of a committee constituted to examine employees’ issues and assured staff that the remaining pending dues would be cleared at the earliest.
Revanth Reddy said the Congress government was committed to prioritising employees’ concerns and resolving them in a time-bound manner and instructed the finance department to take immediate steps to clear the pending arrears amounting to Rs 713 crore.
Subsequently, Bhatti Vikramarka issued formal orders for the release of Rs 713 crore towards pending bills payable to government employees for December. Following these directions, finance department officials processed and released bills amounting to Rs 713 crore.
The Congress government had earlier assured employee unions that at least Rs 700 crore would be released every month towards clearing pending dues. By the end of June, the government had released Rs 183 crore, and from August onwards, a minimum of Rs 700 crore has been consistently released every month. The funds will cover payments related to gratuity, General Provident Fund (GPF), surrender leave encashment, and various advances.
Welcoming the move, employees’ associations expressed their gratitude to the government for addressing their long-standing financial concerns.
