650 Cadets From 15 Institutions Attend Annual NCC Camp

Training activities include weapon handling, firing practice and lectures on service-related subjects

HYDERABAD: Weapon training, cybercrime awareness sessions and leadership exercises began for around 650 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets as the annual training camp-IV commenced in Narapally on Friday. Cadets from 15 educational institutions are participating in the camp, organised by 1 Telangana Battalion NCC. The programme, which focuses on discipline, leadership skills, physical fitness and personality development, will last until May 31.

Training activities include weapon handling, firing practice and lectures on service-related subjects. Sessions on road safety, drug abuse awareness, cybercrime prevention and defence recruitment are also being conducted as part of the camp schedule. Inter-institution competitions including drill, football, tug of war, drawing, essay writing, song and dance are also being organised during the camp to encourage healthy competition and team participation. The camp administration is being handled by permanent instructional staff, state government staff and associate NCC officers.
