6 Bus Passengers Suffer Injuries in Road Accident at Kodad
Following the incident, the traffic on NH No.65 was disrupted for a while
Nalgonda: Six passengers injured in a road accident when a private travel bus rammed into a lorry on the national highway near Kodad in Suryapet district early Sunday.
According to police, the bus belonging to Yolo bus, which was going to Hyderabad from Kakinada, hit a lorry from its backside. Six passengers received injuries in the road accident. In all, 36 passengers were traveling in the bus at the time of the incident.
After the bus hit the lorry, the passengers abandoned the bus and left the area fearing that the bus may catch fire. The police said the accident could have occurred when the bus driver dozed off while driving.
Following the incident, the traffic on NH No.65 was disrupted for a while. Upon receiving information, the Kodad police rushed to the spot and shifted the bus using a crane and cleared the traffic. The injured passengers were shifted to the government hospital at Kodad for proper treatment.
