50 Cyber Warriors Feted

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) on Monday organised a programme to felicitate 50 of its best-performing ‘cyber warriors’. They included 28 from cyber police stations and 22 personnel from the TGCSB headquarters,and were recognised for their contribution across key cybercrime verticals.

Their work included disposal of NCRP petitions, securing refund orders for victims, conducting awareness programmes, execution of PT warrants, attending status calls, cybercrime investigations, data analysis, operations, and handling calls at the 1930 cyber-crime helpline.

The personnel were honoured by DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy, in the presence of TGCSB director Shikha Goel and senior officials. Shivadhar Reddy said an effective response to cybercrime demands speed, technical expertise and seamless coordination. He noted that recognising good work motivates officers to continually upgrade their skills and reinforces the Telangana Police’s commitment to citizen-centric, technology-driven policing.

Addressing the gathering, Shikha Goel underlined the importance of continuous learning, collaboration and swift action in tackling the growing threat of cybercrime. She reaffirmed TGCSB’s resolve to further strengthen cybercrime response mechanisms by empowering frontline officers and ensuring safety for citizens in the digital space.
